Rescue the Children is an 501c3 non-profit organization established to provide help to orphaned, abandoned or at risk children. Our program provides, at no cost to the children or families of the children, clothes, food, and other personal necessities in addition to educational opportunities and encouragement. We assist other organizations that are involved in improving the lives of children.

Please let us tell a bit about the many children who were blessed over the Christmas holidays. I know that’s ancient history now, but we wanted you to see some of the happy faces that were thrilled to receive their blessing bag. Over1400 gifts were distributed to kids, age newborn to 17 years. We partnered with the organization, Disciples of the Rock, in Gatesville, TX who brought down the large majority of the presents. We had collaborated with 14 pastors here in Saltillo to bless the children in their respective congregations, but also to reach out to those outside the walls. It is very difficult to describe the impact these “acts of Love” generate unless you have been a part of something like this which we know several of you have. There is such a joy in giving to those who are truly grateful and you know would not have received anything if not for this little blessing bag. Rescue the Children would like to thank all of our faithful supporters for helping us to help many children and families here in Saltillo. We truly believe that this ministry is making a difference in the lives of many and coming against the evil influence of the drug cartels. Maybe not in a huge way, but affectively supporting churches who in turn are ministering to hundreds of families. All of the congregations we work with are quite small numbering from 20 to 150. The pastors are not seminary graduates. Most of them barely completed high school and some less. They do have a deep sense of calling to the ministry and have a job to support their family and those in their congregations. Please pray for these pastors as they do all they can to preach and teach the Kingdom of God and fight the good fight of faith. We will close for now. There are many other good things to share, but will write again soon. As I stated in our January newsletter, the Lord has not directed us to leave Mexico as of now in spite of the bad news you all hear. Yes, please keep us in prayer and yes, we can use your financial help if the Lord directs you to do so. We want to remain on the field and continue the work. If you would like us to contact you or your church with more information, please let us know. Los amamos. We Love You. The Thieles
